As for gameplay, I thought it was the weakest of the series. Frankly, I think QFG4 was more visually appealing. I found the story for QFG5 to be entertaining.
I was expecting to see the Gnome from QFG4 as well as Dr. It won't be at all like the VGA graphics of old, but since it's made by the QfG creators, it's worth keeping an eye on.Oddly, I was most disappointed by two characters that didn't re-appear in QFG5. Lori and Corey's new kickstarter funded game. They have me in their camp after the remake, it's supposed to be QfG/King's Quest inspired, and the screenshots look interesting, so it's a game to keep on the radar. Made by the same people who put out the QfG2 remake. Mage's Initiation - Still in the development stages. It's supposed to be a very explicit and vulgar take on Quest for Glory, which could be entertaining. Quest for Glory 4 1/2 - I've not played this yet. It's $20 on Steam, so I'd rather not waste the money if the game is mediocre. I haven't heard much, and would love some input before buying. Quest for Infamy - I've not played this yet. Between its Sierra references, excellent gameplay, and good plot, it feels like it's actually a part of the Quest for Glory series. Very clearly inspired by and made in the style of Quest for Glory. Heroine's Quest - I've already played this. It's ultimately the same story with a few fun easter eggs.
It's a very faithful remake that brings everything up to VGA graphics. Quest for Glory 2 Remake - I've already played this. If you have any suggested additions, I'd love to hear about them. Here are the ones I know of, and some brief thoughts on each. I'm looking to play some recent games that are similar to/inspired by the Quest for Glory series.
